Doru

The priest's son

Before he vanished, Doru spent a month talking quietly with a young stranger in the tavern's back corner, and the two of them walked out of town together. The story he told in the cellar starts with a stranger called Victor, he thinks, who said he'd studied vampires for centuries and knew how to kill one. Doru gathered his school friends and they climbed to the castle while the master slept. It went wrong. The master bit Doru, offered him his best friend Joseph's neck, and when Doru refused, killed Joseph in front of him and sent Doru home to tell the village what was coming.

His father chained him in the cellar. He wears his father's sun of Lathander around his neck. He asked the party for a test, and when Genji cut his arm, Doru fought the smell of blood while the symbol blazed. Father! I can fight it! Hay-zel says it's a lock, not a cure, and it will hold as long as his will holds. He agrees he shouldn't be around the wounded. Maybe an alcoholic shouldn't go to the bar.
