Ismark

Ismark came out through the barricade and welcomed the party into Barovia. He holds the west gate against the six o'clock dead and runs the town while his father is bedridden. Bildrath blames him for everything, and the village doesn't think he's strong enough to hold the place when Kolyan goes. He told them about Doru and immediately regretted it.

With his father dead, Ismark is the only leader Barovia has. He hid the bite on his sister's neck and lied about it until Genji found it, then admitted the master had come for her five nights ago. He and his father swore never to let the master have her.

The Vistani the party hired turned on him at the west gate and opened it to the dead; Hay-zel found him face down in the mud, with plague in his lungs. He spat at Rahadin's feet and refused to give up his sister. After Nash's plea he agreed to let Ireena leave with the party, and he spoke at his father's grave: nobody in this village gets handed to that castle while he holds the gate.
